We had a groomer out last night and he reported some of the high traffic area’s with the sun and warmer temps yesterday were hard on the trails. Today’s forecast is for freezing rain, so we will have to see what happens with the weather.
Our groomer is fixed and back on the trail. Groomer operators hit it hard Saturday and Sunday to get over all the trails before the warm up and the possible “R” word. Tonight will be our final touch up until we see what the weather brings up Tuesday and Wednesday.
Groomer operators would like to thank everyone for all the great comments on trail conditions. This keeps them going when it’s been a long day/night and they still have miles to go at 9 m.p.h.
We are down one groomer currently. We will be out with our small groomer working hard to get over the entire system. The report from the groomers is snirt in the woods, good snow in the fields and bare roads at the crossings. The weather forecast is calling for snow first of next week, so do your snow dance for some March riding.
Warmer temperatures and sunny today has taken a toll on the trails. The trails are starting to show dirt mixed in and roads are bare.
Groomers have been smoothing trails. Last night one groomer operator took his family out for a nice 50 mile ride. They reported good trails with some bumpy areas in the drifted open fields. The forecast is showing a warm up with the “R” word.

The extended warm up has caused us to close the trails. The weather forecast has lower temperatures and snow.
Today’s near 40 degree temperatures and sun have deteriorated the trail. We are down grading them to poor. Hopefully the warm up doesn’t stick around long. Groomers won’t be able to run until we get lower temperatures and more snow.
Groomers were out last night and will be out again tonight getting the trails ready for the weekend. Think snow!!!!
